Man of the Cliff is returning to Avon for the 13th year, taking place on Saturday, October 14th from 10am to 5pm at Nottingham Park. This fall festival features ax-throwing contests, keg-tossing competitions, speed-chopping events, spear-throwing contests, a caber toss, archery, hammer tossing, and more. It’s perfect for all levels and abilities and there’s a little bit of something for everyone!
Top off your favorite cargo pants with your favorite craft brew and eats and treats from local food trucks, all tucked away in the scenic Colorado mountains. All funds raised benefit Can Do MS, a national nonprofit that helps people with MS as well as their families. Here’s what you need to know:
Parking and Transportation
Event attendees are encouraged to make use of public transportation to cut down on congestion and make getting there easier; walking or arriving via bike is encouraged as well, if feasible. For drivers, on-street parking will be available at West Benchmark Road and Lake Street. The parking lot at Avon Elementary will also be open.
No Plastics or Pets
Man of the Cliff is a plastic-free event in an effort to mitigate waste, preserve resources, and foster environmental protection. This means that beverages will not be available in plastic bottles, although canned options can be purchased, and water-filling stations will be located on-site. Dogs are not allowed either, no matter how good yours looks in a flannel shirt.
