The Silent Disco takes place at Sunbird Park Playground every week starting December 8th and continuing until January 5th. This event gives you a chance to switch between different types of music, enjoy the great outdoors, and dance like no one is watching.

Ugly Sweater Fun Run

Do you have a sweater prominently featuring cats or one with colors so bright and obnoxious it could direct air traffic? Then the Ugly Sweater Fun Run is an event perfect for your wardrobe! Taking place on December 10th, the course is roughly three miles (although you can opt for a shorter route). It’s followed by an after-party at Bart & Yeti’s. 

Vail Village Tree Lighting

The Vail Village Tree Lighting takes place on December 17th at the Children’s Fountain in Vail Village. This long-standing family tradition features holiday carolers, as well as an appearance by Santa. Stop by one of the nearby stores afterward to pick up your holiday supplies before settling in for a long winter’s nap.

New Year’s Eve Parade and Fireworks

The Torchlight Parade and Fireworks begin on Golden Peak as instructors from the Vail Ski and Snowboard School ski in formation down the mountain with flares. The fireworks display follows - it can be viewed from all across Vail Valley, Golden Peak Lionshead Village, and West Vail.
