The Beaver Creek Art
Festival is
returning to Eagle River Valley on August 6th and 7th from 10am-5pm, and taking
place at 210 Beaver Creek Plaza.
While
many people are used to flocking to Beaver Creek during the winter months, this
free event gives them the unique opportunity to experience an alpine village in
warm and sunny weather. Swap out your ski boots for flip-flops and shop for
arts and crafts while enjoying the local scenery.
There
are all sorts of reasons to attend, including the following:
Great
Weekend Getaway
Come
for the art, stay for Mother Nature’s own masterpiece: the Rocky Mountains.
Located just eight miles from Vail, Beaver Creek is in the heart of Colorado’s
playground. And that means an early August weekend is the perfect time to sneak
in a mini-vacation and enjoy hiking, rafting, rock climbing, or tubing in
addition to some festival fun.
Fill
Up on Food and Drink
While
an art festival may be dedicated to painting, sculpting, and illustrating, it’s
as pleasing for your stomach as it is for your eyes. Choose from various food
and drink vendors…opt for your favorite fare or try something entirely new. Be
sure to take advantage of the region’s best and top off your arts and crafts
with the finest craft beer.
Support
Local Artists
Supporting
local artists has always been important, as they are notoriously underpaid and
underappreciated. But now, as it’s grown popular for consumers to attempt to
pay in “exposure” rather than cash, artists are in need of more financial
support than ever before. Stop by a vendor and buy something for yourself or
someone you love. And then show it off on Instagram just because it’s
awesome.
Pick
Up Unique Decor
If
the pandemic taught us anything, it’s that most homes have their downsides;
there’s nothing like being locked inside your house for a year to make you
realize all the things you don’t like about it. Whether your kitchen walls are
too bare or there’s a lava lamp sitting in your living room, at least part of
your house could probably use an upgrade. An art festival is the perfect way to
give it one.
No
matter how long you stop by — a few hours or the entire day — the Beaver
Creek Art Festival offers a vibrant, inspiring, and beautiful way to spend a
summer weekend. Go on and paint the town red, one booth at a time.
