Lakeside Cinema is returning to Nottingham Park for another summer of movie nights under the Rocky Mountain stars. Come experience this free event with friends, family, and local community members. No matter your cinematic tastes, there’s undoubtedly a movie that’ll tickle your film fancy. Here’s what you need to know before you go:
Sunset Start Time
Lakeside Cinema kicks off at dusk, timed with the setting sun. Attendees are invited to come early and explore the park's offerings before settling in for a cinematic feast. Participants may hike the grounds, have picnics, ride bikes, or venture on paddleboards.
Seating for the event is available on the grass field, and movie-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free popcorn will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Well-behaved dogs are also invited but must be leashed and attended to at all times.
The Cinema Schedule
This year's selection includes a mix of animation, adventure, comedy, and fish-out-of-water stories, all through a family-friendly lens.
The lineup is as follows:
Goonies (July 5th)
The Little Mermaid (July 12th)
Back to the Future (July 19th)
Wonka (July 26th)
School of Rock (August 2nd)

Plastic-Free Event
Lakeside Cinema is a plastic-free event to protect the environment and celebrate conservation. Attendees are encouraged to bring their water bottles and use the refillable watering stations.
Attendees are also encouraged to engage in green commuting, including biking, walking, using public transportation, or carpooling to the event. For those who drive, free parking is available at the town-owed parking stalls on East Benchmark Road, West Benchmark Road, Riverfront Lane, Lake Street, West Beaver Creek Boulevard, and Mikaela Way. Free parking is limited to three hours, and parkers must pay $1 per hour if accruing any extra time. For more information about parking or the event, check out the FAQ section on their website.
Whether you want to go back to the future or know that Goonies never say die, Lakeside Cinema is the perfect family event. Embrace warm summer nights and the power of storytelling, one movie at a time.
